How bout some Cape Breton tunes?

January 15, 2020 at 8:21 AM #21418Casey WillisKeymaster
That makes sense to me, Toolie. I’ve actually reached out to a Cape Breton player to join the site as an instructor in the past month…but haven’t heard back yet…folks are busy!!
But Cape Breton would be a great addition to the site. Any specific recommendations for who I should consider as far as instructors go??

Thanks Casey. And I just want to say how much FV means to me in this difficult time. I am very fortunate in that I am still healthy and just social isolating up here in Canada. FV is a great distraction and provides joy and a sense of connection to a community of fiddlers. Thank you, please keep the new tunes coming as long as you can, and hoping everyone stays healthy. Also putting in a plug on behalf of all professional musicians – take online lessons if you can to help them out as their gigs are cancelled.

Hi, Andrea, and thanks for the comment. Agreed wholeheartedly regarding supporting musicians…this thing is having a huge impact on the pro musician community.
We will continue to push through production on the backlog of tunes. We have hired an additional resource to help on the production side to help get lessons edited and produced.
Right now, we have the below tunes in our pipeline:
Kevin – 45 to 50 tunes
Hanneke – 5-10 tunes
Andre – 20ish tunes
Niall – 10-15 tunesI will also be pivoting away from production and will start recording new tunes in the coming months.
Stay well!!
