Joined very recently. Loving this site, but I’m wondering if there are any song accompaniment techniques here. I can’t seem to find anything about chords or harmonies/countermelodies.
Thanks!
Hi, BazNF. Thanks for joining! You know, I’ve considered adding a couple of videos to discuss these ideas…but in an unstructured setting, it’s really helpful to get one-on-one feedback from a teacher sitting in front of you. That said, I’ll have to do some thinking about a structured way to cover these ideas.
Good suggestion. I’ll add it to my running list of ideas.
Hi Casey, My name i s Tom Mitchell on Vancouver Island. I just completed your 3 day trial period. I cant afford the 250 dollars right now for a year membership. I am an excellent rythmn guitarist, Iwas wondering if I could mabe record some tracks for you in exchange for a membership. Or is there any other way. Thank you for your time. Tom. P.s . If you ever come to the west coast you have a place to stay on the beautiful Pacific ocean. Cheers
Hi Casey and Baz. Loving this site too! Is there any advice hidden away on this site on fills and pads for accompanying songs? Nothing flashy or soloistic, just something along the lines of how an acoustic guitar would accompany a singer?
Thanks! Liz
Hi, Liz. Good thought. I could certainly pull together a series on that…but my plate is way too full with editing other instructors’ lessons to commit to recording that soon. I hope to be back in the studio myself sometime next year…and I’ll consider this topic, for sure!
Glad you are liking the site, and thanks for the kind words!!
HI, Tom. I’ll shoot you an email. We’re not looking for backup right now, but it’s always good to have backups for your backups, you know? Thx for both offers.
