Hello Folks, new subscriber and new topic here. I’m a 56-year old beginning fiddler and always looking for interesting tunes to keep me practicing. Two that have struck me recently are Patana Sunset by Frigg, and Leanne MacLean’s Revenge by Hanneke. If you have any room in your production schedule I’d vote for them. Patana has some interesting bowing (in the C part I think) and there’s lots of room in a relatively slow tune to practice ornamentation. The Revenge tune is just fun… as is the title. Wonder about the back-story 🙂
Hi again, CinqAns. I believe that Hanneke mentioned the possibility of recording Leanne MacLean’s Revenge the last time she was in-studio. She’s scheduled to be back to record a new set of lessons this April. I’ll send her your request and we’ll see what ends up on film…
