Hi FV fiddlers, I’m starting a new phase from full time to part time work and one of the items on my list was to get back to regular focused practice.

Wow I’m really out of shape and focused practice is really hard. I’m dusting off the fundamentals like bowing and scales to warm up and wow I’m a rusty bucket.

Good news though, by warming up for 15 minutes to a half hour, my hands and ears are ready to play and I have reaffirmed the importance of a warm up for more focused practice & playing. I’m working my way back to 3 hours of performance endurance for gigs. I have a long way to go but glad I have started again. Cheers & more fiddling, Roland

You and me both, Roland. I’ll be with you in brushing up chops….

Good game plan. Don’t forget stretching your hands before and after playing, sir. You’ll be ready to tear it up at the jam…assuming it’s a go.

Looking forward to hearing of your progress…

      C
