I am enjoying Andre Brunet’s classes. He teaches well. Also the “feel” of the music is similar to traditional Cajun. Is there a relationship (other than the French accent)? I would love to work with a Cajun fiddler.
Andre actually talked a bit about the connection when he was here at the Fiddlevideo studios recording his lessons…fascinating stuff!! He knows a ton about itinerant Quebecois musicians and indicated that there was a strong connection between the two styles of music.
I’ve considered adding a Cajun instructor to this project for a while, and may do so in the future.
